A man received minor injuries when a barn he was in collapsed around him. This survey was conducted by personnel from both the NWS and emergency management from Franklin and Scott Counties. It threw the debris into a small church and removed some of its roof. The way the Kentucky River winds through the area, the SPC track takes the tornado from near Valley View in Madison County, into southernmost Lexington in Fayette County, and then back into Madison County. Multiple vortices may have been visible. Along the path a grain bin was destroyed and several trees were felled. Forty homes and 75 barns were destroyed. SPC gives a path width of 10 yards, NCDC 30 yards, Grazulis nothing. Eleven buses suffered damage and had their windows blown out. Path length: 3 miles
